What the checker looks for
- Where it was taken, shown on a map.
- The phone or camera, its serial number and the lens.
- Owner, artist and copyright names.
- When it was taken and edited, with the time zone.
- A hidden thumbnail that can still show the uncropped original.
- AI image prompts and settings saved in PNGs.
- Face and people tags, and Content Credentials (C2PA), shown as they are.
Questions
Is my photo uploaded?
Not for JPEG, PNG and WebP: they're read in your browser. Other formats are checked on our server in Australia and deleted straight after.
Can it remove what it finds?
Yes. Clean removes it, or Fix lets you change single fields like the copyright, date or location.
